How accurate is this detector?

On modern images from Midjourney v6+, DALL-E 3, and Stable Diffusion XL, our detector scores 88-94% accuracy in internal testing. No detector is 100% — post-processed AI images (re-saved through JPEG, filtered, cropped) are harder to catch. Always combine the score with the evidence bullets for a confident verdict.

How is this different from Hive, Sightengine, or IsItAI?

Most competitors give you just a number. We give you: (1) the overall AI-probability score, (2) which generator most likely made it, (3) 5-7 specific pieces of evidence (e.g., 'anatomical irregularity in left hand', 'texture too smooth in background'), and (4) a client-side EXIF / C2PA metadata check. Explainable, not opaque.

What's in the evidence list?

The AI examines: anatomical errors (hands, teeth, ears, eyes), texture smoothness, lighting consistency, text rendering (AI struggles with text in images), reflection accuracy, shadow direction, material realism, and compositional artifacts. Each piece of evidence is a specific observation, not a generic claim.

What's C2PA and why does it matter?

C2PA (Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity) is a metadata standard that real cameras and some AI tools embed into images to claim origin. We check for C2PA manifests in the file. 'C2PA present' doesn't prove real, but absent C2PA on a suspicious image is consistent with AI generation.
